Future Preschoolers

Playful learning is emphasized at Bulldog Buddies Preschool.  Children learn best when they have space to creatively explore their environment. Even through play, children can be prepared with all of the skills outlined in the Indiana Early Learning Foundations Framework.  Because Bulldog Buddies is located in our CPCSC elementary schools, students also have the benefit of preparing for their future K-5 school environment early.

An inclusive setting means that children who receive special education services are learning alongside their peers who do not receive those services - the way a classroom should be. Special education services include anything from speech or physical therapy to assistance with mild or moderate learning disabilities. Whether or not a student receives services does not impact the friendships children can form with their peers and the valuable learning that takes place between them. We are thrilled to expand what was once only a special education environment at our Learning Center to multiple locations that now include all students playing together and learning together.

Transportation is available only for students who receive transportation as a related service in their Individual Education Plan (IEP).

Teachers will have a minimum of an associate-level degree from an accredited institution in the area of early childhood. Ongoing professional development for early childhood best practices are also provided to teaching staff.

Students with IEPs will receive special education services from licensed special education teachers and/or service providers.

If your child is between the ages of 0-3 years old, a referral can be made through Indiana’s early intervention system called First Steps. If your child is between 3-5 years old, students may be referred to Early Childhood Development (ECD) at the Learning Center for an evaluation. Each class of 15 students will have one teacher and at least one paraprofessional (teaching aide).

Children can learn appropriate social skills and behaviors through redirection and positive reinforcement. Staff will understand the developmental needs of children and how to encourage their social and emotional growth. Should issues arise, communication and collaboration with parents will be important.

We are in every elementary school as of the 25-26 school year.

If the corporation closes, Bulldog Buddies is closed. If there is a two-hour delay, there will be no morning classes. The afternoon classes will begin at their regularly scheduled times.
